MI3: Advanced Musical Narrative

About the Course:

Musical Improv III gives students an advanced focus on narrative form. You'll tackle solo songs, B-stories, extended dance breaks, and more—pushing past clichés with style and stamina. We’ll get further reps on the 30-minute narrative, as well as exploring existing long-form musical structures using the fearless Annoyance approach. The class ends with a four-show run to put it all into action onstage.

Prerequisite: 

Students must have completed Music Improv 2 to enroll in this class.

Schedule:

Classes meet once a week on the same day each week for a total of eight (8) weeks

Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday classes meet 6:30-9pm

Saturday and Sunday classes meet 1-3:30pm

MI3 includes a run of four shows alongside the final four classes of the term
