Creating Characters: Crafting a 5-Minute Solo Set

About the Course:

Solo work is fun, but it can also seem daunting if you don't know where to start! In this class, you'll learn about different forms, styles, and exercises you can use to create your own original solo characters. Each student will leave with a crafted 5-minute solo set you can use anywhere, from being an opener to an industry showcase. Class will conclude with a simulated industry-style showcase!

Instructor Bio:

Max Kantor is a student and graduate of both the Second City Conservatory and Annoyance Class Program. Max can be seen performing weekly in Jury Duty and the Holy Fuck Comedy Hour at the Annoyance. At The Second City, he is a former understudy for the 112th Mainstage Revue and a former ensemble member of Second City's KidCo shows for children. Currently, Max is a member of RedCo with The Second City National Touring Company. He also loves the Miami Dolphins and a good sandwich.
